Overview

The key enables you to configure a set of apps (Bundle IDs) that must always be installed on a device. An enforcement system checks these apps hourly and reinstalls them if theyโ€™re removed. This feature simplifies device enrollment and the initial installation of apps without dependencies from the MDM solution other than a Configuration Profile. It especially simplifies deployments using MDM solutions like Microsoft Intune.

Use cases

  • Streamline app deployment during enrollment independent of the MDM solution and its capabilities. App Catalog can be leveraged to quickly install a set of (required) applications immediately after it is deployed. Mandatory Apps is part of the first set of tasks once App Catalog is installed.

  • Continously enforce apps to be present on the system, even when removed by a local administrator. For example, browsers, security tools and other utilities required in the environment.
